The Role of a Notary

A Notary Public, also referred to as a ‘Notary’, is a member of the oldest branch of the legal profession in England & Wales. The notary ensures that your documents are valid in foreign countries by checking the identity, capacity, and authority of the person signing the document. Once satisfied, the notary issues a notarial seal or certificate. The notary’s primary duty is to the document itself, which requires a high standard of care as foreign governments rely on these acts.
